Secretary's Report: Mary Ann Giasson absent, no report.
Treasurers Report: Balance: $343.44 in checking
Recent expenses: Paid $ 40.00 for P. O. 494, Monmouth for 2008
Paid $ 220 for Maine Webhosting for 2008

Old Business
Annual Pre-Festival Meeting
* We are 10 weeks out and progressing toward the April 26, 2008
date for the Annual One-Act Play Festival.

* Center Theatre of Dover-Foxcroft and its resident company: the
Slightly Off-Center Players will be hosting the 2008 Festival.

* Estimated venue and technical support costs should run c. $
500-600 for a single day event.

* Lucy Rioux will approach Wil Kilroy at USM about adjudication
and perhaps giving a workshop.

* Rhonda Fitzpatrick, Artistic Director for the Slightly
Off-Center Players has also been approached about organizing one of the
workshops.

* Patrick Meyers, the Executive Director, Center Theatre for the
Performing Arts, will approach local business for help underwriting the
costs of the Festival. Patrick volunteered to print posters and
programs, using local advertisers, as part of the venue's standing
season; as well as handling the local publicity.

* Patrick will also approaching the following local groups about
participation:
Wayside Theater in Dexter
Dover-Foxcroft Academy, who is not participating in the
Maine Principals Assn. One-Act Play Festival this year but does have
strong support among the students to stage a performance.
Guilford High School/ P.C.H.S
* Foner Curtis suggested having Patrick encourage, especially, workshop
participation by the high school students in the area, as past workshop
attendee have found this particularly valuable.

* ACAT president Daniel P. Goodheart regretfully announced that
they will not have a production for the Festival in 2008

Anticipated entries for the 2008 Festival
Camden Civic Theatre Undecided, but in progress
Slightly Off Center Theatre The theatre has 4-6
possibilities from which two will be selected.
Open Book Players: The Selfish Giant & Rinse the
Blood Off My Toga
Gaslight Theater: Tentatively: Two Viewings

Furthering Group Contacts
* No response from Mary Ann Giasson about Northport Music Theater
or Waldo Theatre joining MeACT
* There is currently no representative from Monmouth Community
Players as Kathleen Nation stepped down as Artistic Director - we will
approach Mike French, President of the Monmouth BOD, for a new
representative. No dues/fees were received for 2007.

New Business:
None discussed at this (Feb. 16th) meeting.

Upcoming Meetings & Events
2008 Festival: Saturday, April 26, 2008, Center Theatre, Dover-Foxcroft,
ME
This event would be a pre-qualifying round for 2009 AACT Regionals, if
any group is interested in proceeding further.

The president would like to propose the following meeting dates for the
remainder of 2008 and beginning 2009.

Tentatively: DOB Meeting: Saturday, July 12th, 10:00 AM, Gaslight
Theatre, Hallowell
Tentatively: Workshop Event: Saturday, September 20th, 10:00 AM,
Location: TBA
Tentatively: DOB Meeting: Saturday, January 17th, 10:00 AM, Gaslight
Theatre, Hallowell (Weather permitting)
Tentatively: 2009 Festival: Saturday, April 25, 2008, Location: TBA
